Greenwood (23 May 1974)

The alumni banquet will be held at the Greenwood High School Gymnasium Saturday, May 25, at 7:30 p.m. Officers are Allen Wessel, president; David Danielson, vice president; Louis Landini, Treasurer; and Mrs. James Turnquist, secretary.

The Tuesday afternoon 500 club honored Mrs. Florence Schwarze with a birthday party at the Schwarze home. Mrs. Emma Hium was a guest.

Mrs. Gary Rohde come Friday from River Falls, and Keith Stewart of Middleton, Mrs. Rita Stewart, James and Andy, and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Stewart and Robbie and Tommie, of Eau Claire spent Sunday with their mother, Mrs. Robert Stewart, who is a patient at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, and at the Stewart home here.

Mr and Mrs. Norbert Friske and son, Bernard, attended graduation exercises Saturday evening at Eau Claire state university. Their granddaughter, Faye Friske, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Friske of Whitehall was a graduate.

Mr. and Mrs. David Danielson are spending two weeks at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Erling Nelson in Spooner.

American Lutheran Church women will meet this (Thursday) afternoon in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Hostesses will be Mrs. Roger Kirn, Mrs. Warren Knutson and Mrs. Donald Olson.

Mrs. Pacifico Camarin and Mrs. David Logue left Tuesday to attend the 12th annual ministers’ wives Retreat at Appleton.

Young adults of Immanuel United Church will meet Tuesday, May 28, at 8 p.m., at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Irving Timmler.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie and Mrs. Godfrey Dyre and Jane went to Claybourne Sunday, where they attended a double birthday party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Steuber. Honorees were Charles Steuber and his granddaughter, Vicki Steuber.

Mrs. Ella Langnor and Andrew Bushman of Chicago spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Kaltinger and with his mother, Mrs. John Kaltinger, Sr.

Mrs. Henry Horn has been dismissed from the hospital.

Mrs. Terry Biddle of Thorp and brother, Larry Jepsen of Kaukauna, visited Sunday at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville with their grandmother, Mrs. Robert Stewart and at the Stewart home.

Sunday evening guests at the Hubert Horn home were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schwarze and Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Braun.

Cindy, John, Keith and Mary Lou Helen Stewart have returned after spending two weeks in Amarillo, Texas. Their mother, Mrs. Lloyd Stewart remained in Texas with her mother, who underwent surgery.

Oscar Meinholdt was dismissed Friday from Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.

Mrs. William (Lucille) Dallman of Baraboo arrived Saturday to a visit at the home of Mrs. Bertha Dallman and with other relatives and friends. Other Sunday dinner guests at the Dallman home were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dallman and family, Mrs. Martha Davis of Colby, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kuehling of Unity.

Mrs. Edna Akin and friend of Mountain Grove, Mo., who are spending two weeks here and in Granton and Neillsville area with relatives and friends, and Mr. and Mrs. Viv Carteron, were Friday dinner guests at the home of Mrs. Florence Schwarze.

Mrs. Florence Schwarze and Mrs. Emma Hium visited Wednesday with Mrs. Stella Gordee in the Marshfield Convalescent Center.
