Pearson, Donald Gene (29 DEC 1940 - 13 JAN 2016)

Donald G. Pearson, 75, Town of Prentice, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at the Aspirus Medford Hospital.

He was born on December 29, 1940, in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. He came to Price County to the Prentice area as a child. He attended and graduated from Prentice High School Class of 1957.

He was employed at various occupations including an over the road trucker, an employee of Larson’s Pallet Factory, Ogema, as a dairy farmer, a logger, and a fabricator for Marquip in Phillips, prior to his retirement.

He was married to Pamela Beck on October 6, 1980, in Phillips.

For over 20 years he and his wife Pamela were foster parents to many teenage boys in the Prentice area.

In his free time he enjoyed classical music, hunting, and fishing in Price County as well as Canada.

He is survived by his wife Pamela, Town of Prentice, by two half brothers: Gary (Vicki) Feige, Townsend, WI, and Allen (Suzanne) Feige, Milwaukee, by one half sister Shirley Velt, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, by one sister Vicky Lapan, by 1 infant son, and by his adoptive parents Edward and Rose Pearson.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, January 18, 2016, at the Ogema Baptist Church, Ogema, with Pastor Rodney Price officiating.

Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Ogema. Friends may call at the Ogema Baptist Church on Monday, Jan. 18, 2015, from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.

The Heindl Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
