Struensee, Nancy L. (Leonhard) (24 MAR 1964 - 4 JAN 2016)

Nancy L. Struensee, 51, of Withee, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 4, 2016 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2016 at New Harvest Assembly of God in Withee. Pastor Jason Snapp will officiate. Family and friends are welcome from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.

Nancy was born on March 24, 1964, the daughter of Arvin and Audrey (Hiland) Leonhard in Marshfield. She graduated from Owen High School in 1982. Following graduation she studied Accounting at Itasca Community College. Nancy was united in marriage to Mark Struensee on September 19, 2002 in Marshfield.

She was a go-getter, taking on a variety of jobs over the years. Her most recent position was at Mobil Mart in Withee, WI. Prior to that working at Ace Oil Express in Thorp, WI. Additionally, working for the Colonial Center in Colby, WI and the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen, WI.

Nancy loved the outdoors. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and sitting outside simply taking in her surroundings. Trail riding with her husband and taking her grandbabies for rides on the golf cart were some of her favorites. Nancy had a knack for working with numbers, ledgers, and keeping things organized. In her spare time she liked to crochet, bake, and lend a helping hand.

Nancy is lovingly survived by her husband, Mark Struensee of Withee; six children: Chelsa Hendrickson of Black River Falls, Ricky Verran of South Range, MI, Tara Struensee of Cadott, Marki (Matt) Struensee of Rosemount, MN, Trisha Struensee of Withee and Jamie Verran of Rochester, MN; five grandchildren: Alayna and Lillian Verran of South Range, MI, Kirra Struensee of Rosemount, MN, Bentley and Aleeah Clark both of Black River Falls.

She is further survived by ten siblings: Melody (Mark) Jackson, Arvin Leonhard, Jr., Mark (Pam) Leonhard, Michael Whitcome, Melissa (Jeffrey Leonhard-Keith, Timothy Leonhard, Sandra (William) Nyre, Brian Leonhard, David Leonhard and Lee Whitcome; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Wayne and Joseph Leonhard and her sister, Lisa Leonhard.
