Decker, Alfred Henry (1883? – 15 JUN 1957)

Service were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19 at Moon's Chapel for Alfred Henry Decker, 74, who died June 15, 1957 at the home of his son, Leroy, in Colburn, Idaho, where he and his wife had lived the past year.

Officiating at the services were Orlin Johnson, student pastor of the Lutheran Church. Interment was at Pinecrest Cemetery.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by two sons, Leroy of Colburn and August of Quietus, Montana; two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Irene) Powell of Decker, Mont.; Mrs. Clarence (Nelda) Goodell of DeWitt, Iowa; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Born in Greenwood (Clark Co.), Wis., he lived in Sayle, Mont. until 1936, when he moved to Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. Two years ago he and his wife moved from the lake city and resided at the homes of their children. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge at Coeur d' Alene.

Out of town children who came to attend the funeral of Alfred Decker and to visit at the Leroy Decker home with Mrs. Alfred Decker were August Decker of Quietus, Mont; Mrs. Irene Powell of Decker, Mont.; Mrs. Nelda Goodell fro DeWitt, Ia.; and Mrs. Decker's sister-it-law, Mrs. Adina Decker for Polson, Mont.

Other relatives coming fro the last rites were nephews and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Decker of Ronan, Mont; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Decker of St. Ignatius, Mont.; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Decker of Noxon, Mont., and a niece, Mrs. Aaron Beugli and her husband of Spokane, Wash.
