Wieland, Mary (13 JUN 1884 – 19 JUL 1970)

Mary Wieland, age 86, died Sunday morning at 1 a.m. at Owen (Clark Co., Wis.). Mary Ewald was born June 13, 1884, in the Town of Unity (Clark Co.). She was the daughter of the late Carl and Marie Ewald. She was married to Herman Wieland on Aug. 4, 1904. She lived all her life at Unity, except for the last four years which were spent at Owen.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and also a member of the Trinity Ladies Aid.

Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Colby Cemetery.

Mary Wieland is survived by one brother, William Ewald of Spencer; a sister, Mrs. Lena Wieland of Salah, Wash.; and a niece, Mrs. Adelia Mellenthin of Spencer.
