A son, Lawrence Patrick, was born on June 6,1970, to Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence W.
Auld of Sumter, South Carolina. Mrs. Auld is the former Joan Whiteford, a
teacher in the Marshfield Public School system for several years before her
marriage. A great-great-grandmother of the baby, is Mrs. Emma Ayer, a former
Spencer and Marshfield resident who celebrated her 100th birthday last February
in a nursing home in Sumter, South Carolina.
