School: Greenwood H.S. – 3 Generations of Valedictorians (1970)

Some sort of a record may have been set at the Greenwood Community School this year. The Valedictorian of the 1970 Senior Class was Denise Worden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Worden of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.

Mrs. Worde, the former Jean Barrett, was Valedictorian of the Class of 1946.

To make thing complete, Mrs. Worden is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Verland Barret. Mrs. Barrett is the former Geneva Davis and she was the Valedictorian of the Class of 1925.

The story doesn't end there. Mrs. Barrett has been working in the Greenwood School system for the past 25 years.

Mrs. Worden is also an employee of the Greenwood Schools, serving as secretary to Mr. Bartels, Superintendent of Schools since 19??.

Denise will also continue to work for the school, but only for the summer, as she plans to attend the Marshfield Branch, majoring in Medical Technology.
