West Eaton (28 Nov 1918)

The Gemmeke School began last Monday after being closed five weeks.

Mrs. H. Bostwick and sons, Jason and Lyle, and Mrs. George Gemmeke were at Neillsville Tuesday.

August Podobnik and Mike and Jessie visited Lyle Bostwick Sunday evening.

George Gemmeke and crew went to their hunting grounds Wednesday. We are all sure they will get their deer. At any rate we know that George is a good marksman.

Jason Bostwick has taken a position at Dresden’s livery barn at Neillsville for the winter.

Mr. Davey is helping Mr. Borgers on his barn for a few days.

Morton Borgers writes home that he is doing fine and is two classes ahead of the others of his age in his school work.

Sophia Susa is helping with the work at Lenher’s.

Mrs. George Gemmeke is having Mrs. Joe Christie do some sewing for she and her daughter, Iola.

Mary Persin called at the Bostwick home Wednesday evening.

Lyle Bostwick called at A.L. Borgers’ Friday morning.
