Pagenkopf, Ferdinand (abt. 1850 – 30 OCT 1918)

Ferdinand Pagenkopf died on Oct. 30th and was buried in the Neillsville Cemetery on Nov. 3rd. Deceased was born in Germany and was 68 years of age. He was married to Miss Minnie Hoppa in Germany on Sept. 27, 1875, and in 1876 they came to the United States, settling in Watertown. They remained there for three years and then moved to Clark County, settling on the farm in Southeast Pine Valley, which has remained their home ever since. Thirteen children were born to them, nine of whom are living. Mr. Pagenkopf is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Noah of Loyal, Herman of town Grant, Mrs. Anna Junchen of Washburn, John of town Pine Valley, Emil of Iowa, Alvin of town Pine Valley, Mrs. Leah Munthenk and Miss Emma of Denver, Colo., and Reinhold at home. Deceased was a long resident of this county and earned and maintained a reputation for strict honesty and integrity and as a result he numbered his friends by the score. In addition to his other qualities he was a kind and conscientious man and was held in high respect by all who knew him. He was a member of the German Lutheran Church of this city and the funeral services were conducted by Rev. Brandt.
