Straka, Mary Lou (Brill) (16 APR 1946 - 31 AUG 2015)

Mary Lou Straka, age 69, died Monday, August 31 at Deerview Meadows, Medford where she was under the care of Hope Hospice.

Per Mary Lou's request no services will be held at this time. Cremainal Interment will take place at a later date in Perkinstown Community Cemetery, Township of Grover.

Mary was born on April 16, 1946 in Menominee, Michigan, to Henry and Della J. (Smith) Brill.

She is a graduate of Medford High School and attended Architect and Interior Design School in California where she received her Bachelor's Degree.

Mary married Robert “Bob” M. Straka on January 9, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1998.

She owned and operated her own mailing business in California for about 20 years. After Bob's death she moved to the Medford area where she worked at Tombstone Pizza until her retirement. Mary Lou was a great artist. She enjoyed painting, decorating and going to the casino.

Mary is survived by siblings Henry (Debra) Brill of Janesville, Michael (Cheryl) Brill of Withee, Michelle (Charles) Markarian of Marengo, IL, Charles Brill of Withee, Nora (Tim) Wildes of Benton and Jody Brill of Schofield.

She is predeceased by her husband Robert “Bob” M. Straka, and her parents, Henry and Della J. (Smith) Brill.

Hemer Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake is assisting the family with arrangements
