Krug, Dean (1929? – 12 AUG 1968)
A rural Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) man was found dead Monday morning in his car
parked along a Jackson County road.
Sheriff Richard Miles said that Coroner Dr. Robert Krohn, Black River Falls,
ruled the death of Dean Krug, 39, rt. 2, Withee, was due to a heart attack.
Krug was a construction worker with the F.F. Mengel Construction Co., and was
reportedly driving from his home to the I-94 construction site near Millstown.
The body was found by two other construction workers, Robert Reedy and Gene
Ashenbrenner of Marion, on North Settlement road in the town of Knapp. Krug's
car had apparently coasted to a stop in the middle of the road after he was
stricken.
The sheriff's department was notified about 6:30 a.m. Monday. Krug was married
and the father of five children, according to Jackson authorities.
