The Badger Girls State and Badger Boys State Representatives have been selected
by the faculty of Thorp High School. The representatives are chosen on
qualifications of qualities of leadership, honesty, good character,
cooperativeness, and scholarship-rating in the upper third of their class.
The Badger Girl was Gwen Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hanford Anderson.
Gwen has participated in G.A.A., National Honor Society, Year Book, Junior Class
Play, and Forensics. Badger Girl State, sponsored by the American Legion
Auxiliary, is held at the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison, June 15 –
22.
The Badger Boy selected was Dean Abramczuk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester
Abramczuk. Dean has participated in football, basketball, baseball, National
Honor Society, Junior Class Paly, and Lettermen’s Club. Badger Boy State,
sponsored by the American Legion, is also being held June 15 – 22 at Ripon
University.
