Kass, Alfred J. (29 JUL 1886 – 6 APR 1968)

Funeral services for Alfred J. Kass, 81, who passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls, Wis., on April 6, 1968, were held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thorp, Wis. Father Francis Brockman officiated at the 10 a.m. requiem High Mass on Monday, April 8, 1968. Burial was in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Thorp.

Mr. Kass was born July 29, 1886, Winona, Minn., he moved to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) with his parents as a young boy. He was united in marriage to Margaret Hass on June 24, 1913, at St. Bernard's Church in Thorp.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, four sisters, (Marie) Mrs. Alfred Kleihnes, Neillsville; (Laura) Mrs. Joseph Junemann, Stratford; (Vera) Mrs. Walter Boelter, Thorp; (Caroline) Mrs. Clem Bundick, Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.

Out of town relatives and friends attending were from Milwaukee, Janesville, Minneapolis, Sun Prairie, Sheboygan, Menasha, Medford, Stratford, Marshfield, Appleton, Cadott, Stanley, Holcombe, Chippewa Falls, Neillsville, Stevens Point, Cornell and Gilman.
