The Class of 1941 of the Owen High School held its 25th reunion July 2, 1966 at
the Woodland Hotel with 43 persons present.
The class met at 7:45 in the downstairs dining room for the get re-acquainted
social hour, and needless to say a grand time was enjoyed by everyone. At 9:30
o'clock a turkey dinner with all the trimmings was served.
Ralph Wolk served as master of ceremonies and started the program off having
each class member tell of his or her experiences since the last reunion held by
the class in 1958.
Those receiving first were Cmdr. And Mrs. Huber Glenzer for coming the furthest
distance; Mrs. Jens (Polly) Smith for having the oldest grandchild; Lionel
Schiszik for being the only bachelor, and Leah Nelson for being the only
unmarried girl.
Mrs. Edward Herrell, now of Augusta, received a corsage for being one of the
favorite teachers of the class. Another faculty member, Al Schulze, now of
Neenah, also attended the reunion.
Later in the evening everyone motored to the Otto Engel farm, where another late
social hour was enjoyed. Another reunion has been scheduled for five years
hence.
