Thursday afternoon callers at the home of Mrs. Otto Anding were Mrs. Myrtie Davis and Mrs. Arnold Eppers.

Erlin Garbisch of Slinger is spending part of his vacation with his mother, Mrs. Arnold Garbisch, and is painting the Garbisch home.

Mrs. Louis Helm entertained the Lynn Birthday Club October 17 with 12 members and one visitor present. The afternoon was spent with a meeting and cards.

Mr. and Mrs. Lucien Moh attended the golden wedding anniversary open house Saturday honoring Mr. and Mrs. Bergen Smith of Neillsville.

Family night at the York Center United Methodist Church was held Sunday evening. Kenneth Chase showed a film of Hawaii taken while he served in the Navy. A lunch followed the program. Members of the lunch committee included Mrs. Roy Chase, Mrs. Joe Chase, Mrs. Glen Lavey, Mrs. Jerry Johnson and Mrs. Ray Hetzel.

Mr. and Mrs. Neal Fero and family of Milwaukee spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fero. Last Tuesday, the Lyle Feros drove to Richland Center where they visited with Mrs. Velma Keys.

Mrs. Arnold Garbisch entertained the Granton Homemakers Club at her home October 18.

Donald Helm of Marion spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Helm. Also in observance of Henry Helm’s birthday, Saturday dinner guests at the Helm home were Mr. and Mrs. Roger Helm and family and Saturday afternoon callers were Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Seefeldt of Melrose.

Weekend guests at the home of Mrs. Otto Schmidtke were Mr. and Mrs. Norman Adler of Waukegan, Il., and Mrs. Harvey Spangler and son, Allan, and daughter, Karen of Webster City, Ia. Dinner guests Saturday evening also included Mr. and Mrs. Otto A. Schmidtke and family of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Degenhardt and family of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. George Bayer and Mrs. Augusta Maedler of Evergreen Park, Il., and Mrs. William Schmidtke.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Saibold visited with Mr. and Mrs. Louis Helm Thursday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hoeft returned home Thursday evening from a vacation in northern Wisconsin, where they fished, toured and visited relatives.

Royal Neighbors Fidelity Camp No. 6375 is to meet this (Thursday) evening at the home of Mrs. Neva Yorkston in Neillsville.

Mrs. Ethel Berg is reported to be improving but remains hospitalized in Marshfield.

Mr. and Mrs. George Bayer and her mother, Mrs. Augusta Maedler, have returned home to Evergreen Park, Il., after a week’s visit with Mrs. William Schmidtke.

Recent weekend visitors at the Lucien Moh home were Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Kroeger of Hinsdale, Il.

Mr. and Mrs. David Lavey and sons, Jeff and Mark, were among those present Sunday at the Duane Rollins home, rural Chili, for the 11th birthday observance of Mike Rollins, who is the Lavey’s godson. Others at the gathering were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rollins and Dennis and a friend, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ure, Jerry Bushon, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rollins of Osseo and Ted and Donna Ure of Rockford, Il.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hoeft, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hoeft, Mrs. Marie Hanson of Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Braatz of Plover attended the wedding of Mrs. Ray Hoeft’s niece, Miss Mary Kay Ronk, and Ronald Kriese of Weyauwega Saturday in Shiocton. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ronk of Shiocton. The Dale Braatzes’ children, Kim and Cory, stayed with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Braatz, while their parents were away.
