Neillsville Locals (25 October 1973)

Mr. and Mrs. Jake S. Fitzmaurice entertained in honor of Jo Ellen Marie Cornell’s sixth birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Wilber Anderson, Jill and Judy and Mrs. Mo Ellen Marie Cornell and Henry Wilczek of Eau Claire were there Saturday afternoon.

Mrs. Mary Klune and Pete McCammant spent last week in Milwaukee where they visited with his sister, Mrs. Lydia Kernen, and with Mr. Kernen at the Veterans Hospital.

Mrs. Adela Schumacher accompanied her brothers, Kermit, Gerald and Karow of Augusta, to Milwaukee where they visited their sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Lundgren and family, over the weekend.

Hattie Forman of the Town of York spent Friday evening with Estelle Krejci in Neillsville.

Larry and Lynette Engevold of Rt. 3 Neillsville, entertained last Wednesday evening with a birthday party in honor of their two-year-old daughter, Amber Lee. Guests included mrs. Harold Mitte and Dale, Ms. Lana Adams, Leslie and Lynnea, Mike and Joyce Kreiner and Mr. and Mrs. Don Aden, Mark and Billy.

Mr. and Mrs. John Swenson spent the weekend of the 13th and 14th with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Swenson, in Waukesha. Enroute home, they were overnight guests of another son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jon Swenson, in Westfield. Charles Swenson spent the past weekend at the James Swenson home.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Neff returned home Saturday evening from a ten-day vacation spent with Mr. and Mrs. Horace Mowrer and family in Spring City, Pa. While there, they toured various places of interest in the area.

Pete McCammant entered Memorial hospital Sunday where he underwent surgery on Mon day. It is expected that he will remain hospitalized for at least a week.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Bender and family, Mrs. Agnes Bender, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Pachal, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Pachal and Mrs. Esther Pachal, all of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Goutcher of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Drescher and Mrs. Hattie Forman spent last Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Lavene and son, the occasion being Mr. Lavene’s birthday.

Mrs. Al Schiller, Randy and Cindy visited recently with Mrs. May Klune and Pete McCammant. Mrs. Klune and Mr. McCammant attended the wedding of Miss Shirley Kosmosky recently in Eau Claire.
