Neillsville (13 May 2015)

Travis and Raelynn Gottschalk presented their daughter, Rosalynn Astrid, for Holy Baptism May 10, 2015, during church services Sunday morning at Calvary Lutheran Church. Her Christian sponsors are Hope and Jim Elbert. Rosalynn’s brother Cruz, and sisters Hiltina and Stella, along with other family and friends watched as she was baptized. Rosalynn was then welcomed into her church family. Rosalynn was born Feb. 19, 2015.

Recently, those from Neillsville attending the funeral of Bruce Henchen in Viroqua were Carol and Alicia Schaub; Tom Volland; Wilbert, Ed and Julia Henchen; and Jim, Nina and Randy Henchen. Attending also were Charles and Sharon Henchen of Chippewa Falls; Clarence and Ethel Henchen of Marshfield; Tammy and Rilee Pollack and Todd and Angela Henchen and sons from Minnesota; and Teresa and Taylor Zirbel from Milwaukee. Bruce was Carol and Charles’ brother.

The 1897 Clark County Jail Museum board and membership met for their 2015 annual meeting to review accomplishments of the past year and consider some new things for the coming season, including extra open houses for heritage Days and Harvest Fest. Two officers were elected for three-year terms: Steve Roberts for president and Shirley Anderson for vice president. A new exhibit will also be open showing the ways people ‘made do’ during the Depression or World War II rationing.
