Fleischmann, Curt Casper (29 June 1972 - 5 April 2015) With Flag

Curt Fleischmann, 42, of Neillsville died Sunday, April 5, 2015, at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.

Curt Casper Fleischmann was born June 29, 1972, in Neillsville, the son of Dennis and Emile (Schoen) Fleischmann. He graduated from Granton High School in 1991 and then attended Chippewa Valley Technical College and studied their police science program for a year. He was united in marriage to Karen Sischo Sept. 12, 1992, at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Granton. Curt served in the National Guard for three years and in the National Guard Inactive Ready Reserve for 11 years. He worked at several farms in the area and drove truck for Plautz and Gardner Trucking. Curt also worked at Tesmer Construction and, for a short time, at Wisconsin Homes.

He was a member of of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Granton. He loved hunting and fishing and was always ready for a joke. Curt was a hard working young man and he was always willing to lend a hand when someone was in need.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; two sons, Devon (Ashley Davis) Fleischmann and Gabriel Fleischmann, both of Neillsville; his parents, Dennis and Emilie Fleischmann of Granton; a brother, Wayne (Lynn Dupey) of Greenwood; a sister, Renee (Troy) Babbitts of Neenah; his grandmothers: Delores Hoeft and Helen Schoen, both of Neillsville; and his mother-in-law, Lillie Sischo of Neillsville.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Walter Schoen and Wilhelm Fleischmann; his father-in-law, Richard Sischo; and a cousin, Rollin Schoen.

Funeral services for Curt will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2015, at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Granton. Pastor Daniel Schoessow will officiate. Music will be provided by Caroline Helm, organist. Military honors will be conducted by the Neillsville Veteran’s Council. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Honorary Casket bearers are: Wayne Fleischmann, Renee Babbitts, Rodney Schoen, Floyd Schoen, Karl Schoen and Walter Schoen.
