King, Mary LaVeda (Marriage - 29 September 1973)

Marriage vows were exchanged Saturday, September 29, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church by Miss Mary LaVeda king and Eugene Michael Dux. The Rev. Robert Bitter of Immanuel Church at Globe officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Harry King and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Dux, all of Rt. 2 Neillsville, are parents of the couple.

A chapel-length train flowed from the A-line skirt of the bride’s old-fashioned, empire-style gown. A high neckline of rose-patterned lace matched the bodice and puff sleeves. She carried a cascade of yellow sweetheart roses accented by white miniature carnations and baby’s breath as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Miss Debby Seelow, Eau Claire, was the maid of honor. Miss Janis Sischo Eau Claire, appeared as bridesmaid and Miss Jean King, as junior bridesmaid. Miss Seelow’s white lace trimmed empire-style, A-line gown of gold organza fashioned with a high neckline and puff sleeves was complimented by a bouquet of carnations and gold daisies with baby’s breath. The identically-styled gowns of the bridesmaids were fashioned of emerald green organza. Their flowers were green carnations, gold daisies, bronze pompons and baby’s breath.

Serving as bestman was Wendell Miller. Daniel Dux was the groomsman and LeRoy Dux of Watertown, the junior groomsman. Guests were seated by Lawrence Dux and Donald Jelinek.

William Dux was the ringbearer and Lori King was the flower girl.

‘The Wedding Prayer’ and ‘The Lord’s Prayer’ were sung by Miss Constance Brown. Victor Lehmann was the organist.
