Bauer, Sandra Jean (Marriage - 15 August 1973)

Miss Sandra Jean Bauer became the bride of Wayne Allen Ziegler in a 2 p.m. ceremony performed Saturday, August 15, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church by the Rev. Charles D. Brady. A reception and dinner at the American Legion Hall were followed by an evening dance at the Silver Dome Ballroom.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Edwin J. Bauer of Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ziegler of Rt.1 Willard.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a traditional white gown of sheer nylon organza over taffeta styled with a venise lace bodice, Sabrina neckline and bishop sleeves. Venise lace edged her cathedral-length mantilla veil. A cascade arrangement of orange sweetheart roses, white carnations and baby’s breath formed the bridal bouquet.

Miss Nancy Bauer attended the bride as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Susan Bauer, Miss Sharry Ziegler of rural Willard and Mrs. Kathryn Brey of Chicago, Il. Their princess-style gowns of orange crepe with ivory venise lace trim were complimented by headpieces of orange daisy mums and baby’s breath. They carried colonial bouquets of orange daisy mums and champagne carnations with baby’s breath.

Dennis Walker served as bestman. Groomsmen included Rickie Ziegler of Willard, Kenny Oldham of Neillsville and Louis Hagedorn of Grand Forks, N.D. Ushering duties were shared by Michael J. Bauer, Fall Creek, and Larry Klueckmann, Willard.

Completing the wedding party were David Ziegler as ringbearer and Heidi Jane Mohr of Whitefish Bay as miniature bride.

Vocalists Mrs. Michael Bauer and Judy Munkholm sang to the guitar accompaniment of Pamela Kessler. Mrs. Glen Short was the organist.

Hostesses at a prenuptial shower were the bride’s sisters, Nancy and Susan Bauer, and Sharry Ziegler and Linda Walker.

Both graduates of Neillsville High School, the bride and groom are employed locally. Following their return from a wedding trip to Denver, Co., the couple will live on Rt. 3 Neillsville.
