Humbird (13 September 1973)

Harry Wilson of Eau Claire Sunday afternoon called at the Arnold Matti home.

Mrs. Elgie Hardwick spent a long weekend in Altoona visiting her two daughters and celebrating her birthday.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Laffe were dinner and supper guests Sunday at the Harold Losey home in Fairchild. Mr. and Mrs. Art Papke of Fairchild joined them for the afternoon and supper.

Mr. and Mrs. Dick Sieg and children of Hortonville were overnight guests Saturday of his brother, Bernard Sieg.

Mrs. Hillard Anderson of Black River Falls and Mrs. Lyle Newell were in Eau Claire Monday.

Mrs. Will Theiler is in Neillsville Hospital with a bad case of infection in an injured ankle. She hopes to be home soon.

Mrs. Pirl Burrington of Thorp was here Thursday to spend the day with her daughter, Mrs. Dewayne Parent.

Wes Washburn was a super guest Sunday at the Levi Fitzmaurice home.

Mrs. Chet Baily is a patient in the hospital at Black River Falls, she is improving.

Sam Fitzmaurice is a patient in Neillsville Hospital, suffering with ulcers. He is some better, but needs more care and rest.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hinkley of Wauwatosa called Thursday on Mrs. Anita Markham.

Mrs. Laura Dignin was a dinner guest Sunday night at the Bernard Sieg home.

Mrs. Freida Zerbel spent Sunday afternoon with Mrs. Arnold Matti.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Holub of rural Hatfield were dinner guests Sunday of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Fitzmaurice. In the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Meyers and baby of Fairchild and Jake Fitzmaurice of Neillsville were callers.

Mr. and Mrs. Perle Pickett and her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Burnett, and children, of Hixton spent
Friday until Sunday fishing and camping at Rock Falls. A fairly good catch was taken.

Mr. and Mrs. Dick Sieg and children of Hortonville spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Aeschbacher.

Mike Kirby and fiancée from St. Paul were guests Sunday of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Kirby.

Mr. and Mrs. William Breheim of Merrillan visited Thursday evening at the Perle Pickett home.

Mr. and Mrs. Perle Pickett called last Monday evening at the Lloyd Meyers home in Neillsville and on Fred Rupnow in the Neillsville Hospital. Mr. Rupnow is slowly gaining, but thinks it takes a long time for cracked bones to mend.

Word has been received that the Heins arrived safely in Scott City, Kan., and are getting used to their new trailer home.

Mr. and Mrs. Alton Stallard were in Eau Claire Friday evening.

Mrs. Anita Markham was a dinner guest Sunday at the Archie Kirby home.

Ralph Finnegan of Burlington was a dinner guest Tuesday at the Arnold Matti home. He was on his way home from Eau Claire, where he has taken his son, Tim, to school.
