Daniels, Jeanette F. (Schreiner) (28 FEB 1936 - 27 FEB 2015)
Jeanette F. Daniels, 78, Athens, passed away Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at the Clark
County Health Care Center.
She was born February 28, 1936, in Athens, daughter of the late Edwin and Esther
(Rogstad) Schreiner. On Aug. 1, 1955, she married Norbert “Nubby” Daniels at St.
Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. He survives.
Among her favorite things to do were sewing, crocheting, needlework, gardening
and baking. Jeanette had been involved in various activities, including
full-time bookkeeper for the Athens Co-op and then Nubby’s Service, along with
town of Bern clerk, and secretary/treasurer of the Athens Cemetery Association.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, was active in St. Anthony’s
PCCW and had been a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survivors include her husband, Nubby Daniels, Athens; ten children, Kathy
(Randy) Boneske, Athens, Dan Daniels, Athens, Julie (Dave) Drexler, Marshfield,
Joe (Linda) Daniels, Medford, Pete (Jodi) Daniels, Scandia, Minn., Tom (Laurie)
Daniels, Wausau, Jeff (Katie) Daniels, Tomahawk, Steve (Stacy) Daniels, Edgar,
Andy (Melinda) Daniels, Athens, and Denise (Brian) Roach, Eau Claire; many
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by her four siblings, Myron (Joyce) Schreiner, Reeds
Spring, Mo., Clyde (Anne) Schreiner, Largo, Fla., Shirley (John) Daniels,
Athens, and Ronald (Donna) Schreiner, Medford.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated March 3 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens.
Rev. Paul Hoffman and Rev. Charles Hiebl presided. Burial was in Calvary
Cemetery, Athens.
