North Weston (1 Aug 1918)

There will be a pie and ice cream social and a dance at the Mound School 1 ½ miles north of Christie store Aug, 2nd. Proceedings go to the Red Cross.

If our soldiers over in France fought for us like some of our Red Cross workers work for them, I am sure we would never win the war.

Willie Hughes autoed to Greenwood Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. John Hawley and Marjorie, Mrs. Thomas and Irene, autoed to Neillsville Tuesday.

Mrs. John Hawley spent Wednesday with her dAughter, Mrs. Ernest Hannah.

Miss Ruth Weast did sewing in Greenwood the latter part of the week.

Miss Fern Stoneburg of Loyal, who has been visiting with her sister, Mrs. Harley Gates, retuned home Sunday.
