Hopperdietzel, Mr./Mrs. Walter (Silver – 12 SEP 1967)

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hopperdietzel of Abbotsford observed their silver wedding anniversary Sept. 12. On Tuesday morning a 7:30 o'clock mass at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Abbotsford, was said by the Rev. Emil Hodnik during which the honored couple renewed their vows and received a blessing.

The former Alice Kramer and Walter Hopperdietzel were married at Abbotsford Sept. 12, 1942, and for the most part of their married life lived in Abbotsford. They have three sons, John, Paul and Joel, and one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Mary Lou) Dorn, and one grandson, Marc Dorn.

Mr. and Mrs. Hopperdietzel operate Walt's Skogmo Store in Abbotsford.

The celebration of the anniversary was held Monday evening at a family dinner at the Casa Grande. The centerpiece of mums and painted daisies was presented to the honored couple. Attending were their children, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dorn, John, Paul and Joel Hopperdietzel, and Miss Lelah Le Claire of Cornell, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kramer of Fond du Lac, and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kramer of Abbotsford.

On their return home they were greeted by a number of relatives and friends in a surprise celebration of the occasion. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Leo Baumann of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Brecke of Stevens Point, Mrs. Leila Hopperdietzel, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Schaeffer, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Ewan of Athens, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bauer, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Wagner and Judy, Dr. and Mrs. Lyle Kallstrom, Mr. and Mrs. Clem Ogurek and Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Dorn.

At the close of the evening, lunch was served and the decorated cake, brought by the guests, was cut.
