Venzke, Ida (25 FEB 1892 – 31 AUG 1967)

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 4 for Mrs. Ida Venzke, 75, of Milan, who died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Aug. 31, 1967, following a lingering illness.

The services were held at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Milan, with the Rev. David Schroeder officiating, and burial was in the Milan Cemetery.

The Lulloff Funeral Home of Colby was in charge of the arrangements.

The former Ida Wienandt was born in Milwaukee on Feb. 25, 1892. When she was two years ol, her family moved to the Milan area (Marathon Co., Wis.), where she lived for the rest of her life. She received her education in local schools.

Her marriage to Albert Venzke, who survives her, took place July 30, 1914, in the town of Holton. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church at Milan, and the Bethlehem Ladies Aid.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Clarence Venzke of Athens and La Verne Venzke of Wis. Dells; and four daughters, Mrs. Phillip (Irene) Wire of Reseda, Calif., Mrs. Edmund (Janet) Bahr of Edgar, Mrs. Chester Buss of Abbotsford, and Mrs. Leroy (Beatrice) Engelking of Wauwatosa. There are also 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A sister, Mrs. Wenzel Zahorka of Milan, and two brothers, Art Wienandt of Wakefield, Mich., and Walter Wienandt of Antigo, also survive.

She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
