Marg, Ruth Ann (Marriage - 17 August 1973)

Mr. and Mrs. Duane Marg of Granton presented their daughter, Miss Ruth Ann Marg, in marriage to Roger William Rizner on Friday, August 17, at Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant. The Rev. Richard Eggen officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. William Rizner, Neillsville, are the groom’s parents.

The bride appeared in an A-line gown of candlelight knit styled with a crisscross lace halter bodice. Her candlelight lace mantilla flowed from a pillbox headpiece. A bouquet of red and white roses with eggshell streamers trailing rosebuds completed her ensemble.

Bridal attendants were Miss Susan Marg, Granton, as maid of honor, and Mrs. John Walk, Neillsville, and Miss Lorene Schultz, Madison, as bridesmaids. Their pastel-hued gowns of mint green, pink and lavender, respectively, were styled similarly to the bride’s, but without lace. Each carried a single, long-stemmed rose in a shade to match her dress.

Wade Urban, Burnsville, Mn, served as bestman. Groomsmen were Terry Laber, White Bear Lake, Mn, and Peter Manz, Burnsville, Mn. Guests were seated by Max Kapfer, Stoughton, and Bob Johnson, Neillsville.

The organist was Mrs. James Musil and the soloist, Mrs. Randy Short. Miss Barbara Mott was the flutist.

A wedding reception was held at Bali Hai supper club.

The bride, a junior at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse majoring in social work, has been employed at the Sunburst Youth Homes. Her husband graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1969 with a major in accounting and economics. He is employed by a finance firm.

Following a wedding trip to Wisconsin Dells, the newlyweds are making their home at 1503 Ferry Street, in La Crosse.
