Wallace Harry “Wally” Sternitzky, 81, Green Bay, died Friday, February 6, 2015. He was born July 14, 1933, in the German farming community of the Town of Lynn, Clark County, Wisconsin to Alvin and Edna (Burdick) Sternitzky. Wally completed his electrical apprenticeship and began working as a Journeyman Electrician in Wood, Clark, Marathon and Portage Counties. He worked at Consolidated Paper in Stevens Point and Nekoosa, at Martin-Marietta Aerospace in Denver, Colorado, and at American National Can in Green Bay until his retirement. Early in his career, he was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and served on the Tri-County Electrician’s Joint Apprenticeship Committee. Later in life, he belonged to the United Steel Workers of American.

Wally was a current member of Atonement Lutheran Church. No matter where he lived, he had been an active Lutheran Church member, even serving as Deacon. Wally volunteered as a poll worker and was active in the Neville Public Museum Geology Club, serving as past president and vice president. He was known for his interest in Datolite from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He and his wife enjoyed travelling.
