Levis (11 Jul 1918)

Miss Ethel Ring, assisted by others from Neillsville, will give a lecture on bread making, using the new flour substitutes. All ladies requested to bring pencil and paper and any tested recipes containing flour substitutes. The meeting will be held at the Lincoln School house, Dist. No. 4, Friday afternoon, July 12th.

Mr. and Mrs. C. Lueck and little son and Miss B. Lueck spent Sunday evening at the Shramek home.

Mrs. Chas. Shrameck returned from Chicago Saturday after a two weeks’ visit with friends and relatives at Chicago. She was accompanied by her daughter-in-law and grandson, Mrs. L. Shramek and Laddies, who will spend the summer here.

While in Chicago, Mrs. Shramek visited her son, Charles, who is stationed at Camp Grant, Rockford, Ill.

Everybody is picking berries these days. There ate a lot of them this year.
