Bush, Marian Lucille (16 October 1914 - 23 December 2014)

Marian Bush, 100, of Neillsville died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, with family by her side at the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Marian Lucille Bremer was born Oct. 16, 1914, in the Town of Weston, Clark County, the daughter of Fred and Clara (Barnett) Bremer. She attended the Forman Grade School. She was united in marriage to Wayne Bush July 8, 1930, in Winona, MN. She worked as a homemaker and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother to her family. They lived in Milwaukee, Madison, Portage, Alma Center, La Crosse, and in the mid-70s, moved to Neillsville.

Marian was a member of the United Methodist Church in Neillsville. She enjoyed watching and listening to her beloved Chicago Cubs. She also enjoyed gardening, babysitting, country music and watching the Green Bay Packers. She was devoted to her family and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by three children, Dixie (Fritz) Hediger of Neillsville, Dennis (Joyce) Bush of West Bend and Daniel Bush of Eau Claire; 26 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren and 44 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a son-in-law, Arnold Opelt of Granton, a daughter-in-law, Joann Bush of Mosinee, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three children, Delores Opelt, Donna Gault and Duane Bush; her parents; three sisters: Hazel, Mabel and Zelma; and two brothers, Howard and Clarence ‘Bud’ Bremer; and a son-in-law, Gene Gault.

A memorial service for Marian will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Jacoba Koppert will officiate. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015.
