Hamann, Ralph H. (19 JUL 1934 - 11 DEC 2014)

Ralph H. Hamann, age 80, of rural Colby, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at his home.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at St. John High Steeple Lutheran Church in the Town of Wien, Marathon County. The Rev. Jeffrey A. Lambrecht will officiate.

Family and friends are welcome from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the church. Inurnment will be held in the church cemetery. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the arrangements.

Ralph was born on July 19, 1934 in the Town of Frankfort, Marathon County. He was united in marriage to Mary Alice Scheper on December 6, 1969 at the St. John Lutheran Parsonage.

Ralph farmed on the family farm where he was born retiring at age 65. He continued to live on the farm until his death. Ralph also worked at Weyerhauser Door in Marshfield.

Ralph enjoyed fishing and hunting and especially hunting out west. He was a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Mary of Colby; his daughter, Bonnie Hamann of Wausau; his son, Dale Hamann of New Lisbon; three grandchildren: John, Eva and Claudia Bondgien. He is further survived by his sister, Arabelle Syring of Stratford and his brother, Wallace Hamann of Colby.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Dwayne Hamann and daughter-in-law, Marie Hamann.
