Koschak, Bernadine (Marriage - 23 June 1973)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood, was the setting Saturday, June 23, for the marriage of Kimberly teachers Miss Bernadine J. Koschak and Thomas W. Wall. The Rev. Leander Koopman of St. Mary’s and the Rev. John Wall, cousin of the groom, officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Ignatius J. Koschak of Greenwood and Mrs. Charles E. Wall of Manitowoc and the late Dr. Wall. Mr. Koschak presented his daughter in marriage.

The bride’s gown, fashioned of ivory satin organza, was styled with a high neckline, bracelet-sleeved, modified empire bodice topping a gently A-line skirt. Venise lace detailed the bodice. Her chapel-length mantilla veil was trimmed with the same lace. She carried an orchid and stephanotis bouquet.

Miss Mary Jo Koschak, Eau Claire, was the honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Miss Mary Rolfson, Kimberly, and Mrs. Audrey Zigmund, Green Bay. The fitted bodice of their orchid and pink boucle knit gowns featured high necklines and long sleeves trimmed with venise lace. Softly gathered skirts were topped with sashes. Matching headpieces and bouquets of daisies, carnations and baby’s breath completed their ensembles.

Serving as bestman was William Zigmund, Green Bay. Groomsmen were Robert Warrens, Arlington Heights, Il., and Michael Wall, La Crosse. Guests were seated by Michael Short, Appleton, and John Arendt, Menasha.

Music at the wedding was provided by Mrs. Rita Stewart and her daughter.

A supper at St. Mary’s hall was followed by a reception at the Greenwood American Legion Hall.

The new Mrs. Wall is a 1969 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Her husband graduated from St. Norbert’s College in DePere and received his Master’s Degree from Winona State College, in Winona, Mn.
