Miss Gladys Ebben, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delton Ebben, became the bride of Rick Alger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Alger, in a double ring ceremony on Saturday, June 10th, 1967 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thorp. Rev. Father Brockman performed the eleven a.m. High Mass. The mixed choir sang Mass and Mary Rosemeyer sang a solo.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of imported organza in a cage dress. Her gown was enhanced by Swiss lace and crystal beading jeweled with pearls. Her detachable train was edged with Swiss lace and appliqued throughout the back of the train. A cluster of Swiss lace daisies secured an illusion gather. Her bouffant two tiered veil was secured to her floral headpiece. She carried a bouquet of white mum daisies and lilies of the valley.

Miss Joyce Ebben was her sister's maid of honor, and friends of the bride, Cheryl Gruniwaldt and Mary Beyerl were bridesmaids. They were fashioned in floor length gowns of pastel chiffon. Venice lace enhanced their bodice and sleeves. Each wore an open pill box with daisy appliques. They carried white mum daisies with pastel ribbons entwined.

Rog Alger was his brother's best man. Ushers were: Dave Ebben, brother of the bride, and Bill Alger, brother of the groom, Dean Ebben, bride's brother, and Ken Maier, groom's brother-in-law.

A dinner for the immediate family and bridal party was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Moskiewicz, which was followed by a reception and buffet supper at the Thorp Legion Hall for about 300 guests. Music at the reception was played by Floyd Reed of Ladysmith.

The bride is a senior at Wis. State University, Eau Claire, and the groom is a truck driver with F.F. Mingle Construction Co.

After a wedding trip to Wis. Dells, the couple will make their home at 920 Oxford Ave., Eau Claire.
