Zimmerman, Blanche (18 November 1884 - 15 November1972)

Funeral services for a Neillsville native, Mrs. Blanche Zimmerman, 87, of Memorial Home, who died November 15, were held Monday, November 20, at 1:30 p.m. from the United Church of Christ. The Rev. Gary Clark officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Zimmerman, daughter of Charles and Katherine (Dillabo) Crocker, was born November 18, 1884, in Neillsville and was educated here. After graduating from Neillsville High School she attended the University of Wisconsin. She returned to Neillsville and was employed at the county court house for many years. Her marriage to George Zimmerman took place October 12, 1913, in Neillsville. Mr. Zimmerman died in 1953. Mrs. Zimmerman, who lived here all her lifetime, was a member of Carmi Chapter No. 60, Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors are two children, Mrs. J. H. (Ruth) Nourse of Hollywood, Fla., and John Zimmerman of New York City; a sister, Mrs. R. B. (Helen) Washburn of Augusta; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Alfred Kleckner, Richard Albrecht, Albert Holt, Harold Trewartha, Ivo Haines and Robert Schiller. Mrs. Jess W. Scott was the organist.
