Vern Varney of Madison visited relatives and friends here Thursday.

Christ Keiner and son Carl were Athens callers Monday.

Coach John Novak spent the weekend with relatives and friends at La Crosse.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Borham and son Paul, Mrs. M.E. Kenyon and Albert Neuenfeldt were Marshfield callers Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gerlach of Osseo called on relatives and friends here Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Etta and children of Stetsonville were visitors at the A.C. Buker home Thursday.

Norman Meinhardt and Norbert Kuehn visited friends at Jump River Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. G.T. Mullendore and Mr. and Mrs. B. VanHollen were Neillsville callers Friday evening.

Mrs. Christ Keiner spent the weekend at Pittsville with relatives and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Beyer of Alma Center spent last Thursday with relatives and friends.

Mrs. N.J. Carter will entertain the members of the Suffragette Club at her home this evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Haeuser and children spent Sunday with relatives at Abbotsford.

Rev. George Heilman attended a District Young Peoples Committee meeting at Colby last Thursday.

Miss Velma Hindal, Miss Veda Howard, Mrs. C. Perkins, Irving Sherman and Erwin Leach were Eau Claire visitors Monday.

The local order of Masons enjoyed a pancake supper at the Masonic Hall Monday evening following a regular meeting. A good crowd attended.

Miss Evangeline Sheets, who teaches at Humbird, spent the weekend here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.F. Sheets.

Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Brauneis Jr. and Mrs. A.C. Barr were Sunday visitors at the Raymond Shaw home at Lindsey.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Strozewski of Black River Falls and Billie Strozewski and Mr. McKidrick of Knapp were Sunday afternoon visitors at the H.A. Westcott home.

Mrs. Louis Brown entertained the members of the Birthday Club at a 6:30 dinner at the Home Restaurant Monday evening. Bridge was played afterward at the Brown home.

Mr. and Mrs. Gale HIles and son visited at Neillsville Sunday.

Mrs. Fred Behrens entertained the members of the Intersee Club at her home last evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Leberg and children spent Sunday at the Christ Keiner home.

Miss Irene Brown of Ojibwa arrived Tuesday for a visit with relatives and friends here.

Miss Mercedes Meinholdt of Eau Claire spent the weekend here with home folks.

The Greenwood Red Devils journeyed to Chili Tuesday night, where they were defeated by a score of 28 to 21.

Mr. and Mrs. Meryl Hales of Loyal spent Monday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Haeuser. Mr. and Mrs. Hales are moving to Neillsville this week, where Mr. Hales has a position.

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Cummings, who are visiting relatives here, spent Sunday with Mrs. Cumming's brother, Chas. Alto and family at Withee.

Miss Elaine Buker entertained a number of her girlfriends and Miss Gassett at her home Monday afternoon in honor of her 11th birthday anniversary. Games were played, lunch was served and all present report a most enjoyable time.

Donald Moore, 11 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Moore, who reside on the farm formerly occupied by the Evenson family, broke his left wrist a week ago Sunday when his mitten got caught while he was starting a gasoline engine. His parents, not knowing the wrist was broken, did not bring him to the Greenwood Clinic until Thursday and when X-ray was taken, it was discovered that the wrist was broken.
