Epding, Paula (15 September 1890 - 28 September 1972)

Funeral services were held Monday, October 2, at 1:30 p.m. from the United Church of Christ for Mrs. John (Paula) Epding, 82, a resident of Memorial Home for the last year. The Rev. Gary Clark officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Mrs. Epding, who moved to Clark County in 1917, died September 28.

The former Paula Gorski was born September 15, 1890, in Germany and came to the United States at the age of 16. She worked in Chicago with her brothers and was married there June 25, 1910, to John Epding. After Mr. Epding’s death in 1955, she made her home with her children prior to entering Memorial Home. Mrs. Epding was a member of the United Church of Christ and of the Royal Neighbors of America.

Survivors include two children, Arthur Epding of Wausau and Mrs. Eleanore Sagen of Neillsville; a brother, Arthur Gorski of Ft. Ricky, Fla.; and 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
