Butterfield, Floyd (16 MAY 1887 – APR 1966)

Funeral services for former Stanley resident, Floyd Butterfield, 78, were held May 3 at Wis. Rapids at the Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. L.E. Curtis officiating. Burial was in Restlawn Cemetery, Wis. Rapids.

Mr. Butterfield was born in Reedsburg, on May 16, 1887. He married Ruby Claridge in Baraboo in 1912. He farmed in the town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.), and lived in Stanley when he was employed at what is now the Stanley Corp. In 1955 he and his wife moved to Wis. Rapids, where they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1962.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby, and two sons, Clarence, Wis. Rapids, and Kenneth Wausau; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Saam, Chatsworth, Calif.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
