Martha Louise Driscoll, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bertroche, Chicago, and Gary Wayne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Buss, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), were married Saturday, March 11th at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Thorp. Rev. Olson officiated and Jody Olson was at the organ.
The bride, who was escorted down the aisle by her father-in-law, wore a lace over satin street length bridal gown. Her short veil was held in place by a beaded crown. She wore pearls and carried a bouquet of mums centered with an orchid.
The maid of honor, Linda Stanford, Waynesville, N.C., cousin of the bride, wore a sleeveless lace ensemble with a scoop neckline. Bridesmaid Joan Buss, sister of the groom, wore a pastel pink gown with a beaded bodice. Each carried a bouquet of mums.
Best man Jerry Buss and groomsman Edward Buss, brothers of the groom, each wore dark suits, as did the groom.
The bride's mother wore a green suit. The groom's mother wore a dark blue dress. Mrs. Edith Buss, grandmother, wore a grey dress. Each wore an orchid corsage.
A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Buss. Out of town guests were from North Carolina, Chicago, Milwaukee, Marshfield and Stanley.
The young couple will live in Chicago, where the groom is employed at Bell & Howell and the bride at Ravenswood Hospital.
