Kaufman, Kathleen Rae (Marriage - 6 August 1972)
Dr. Ralph H. Didier officiated Sunday, August 6, at the marriage of his niece, Miss Kathleen Rae Kaufman, and Harris Williams Campbell III. The Loyal Free Methodist church was decorated for the 3 p.m. double-ring ceremony with a floral arrangement of daisies entwined with candelabra. Dr. Didier is a pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Anaheim, California.
Mr. and Mrs. Everett Kauffman of Rt. 1 Chili are the bride’s parents. The groom, is formerly of Arrowhead Springs, San Bernardino, California, is the son of Mrs. Christie L. Campbell of Colorado Springs, Co., and the late Harris Williams Campbell, Jr.
The bride’s A-Line gown of crepe and venise lace, styled with a chapel-length Watteau train, was highlighted by a cascade veil of nylon illusion gathered to a face-framing lace headpiece. She carried a cascade arrangement of roses, carnations and baby’s breath as she was given in marriage by her father.
Mrs. Robert (Jean) Ashton of Coloma, Mi, attended her sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Roxanne Didier of Anaheim, cousin of the bride; Miss Faith Clouse of Denver, Co, friend of the bride; and Miss Lisa Campbell of Colorado Springs, sister of the groom. Their A-line gowns of chiffon with white lace were fashioned in shades of apricot, lime, aqua and orchid, respectively. Wide-brimmed white lace bonnets were accented with ribbons to match the gowns. The attendants carried baskets of white daisies festooned with ribbon streamers.
Robert H. Ashton served as bestman. Groomsmen were Dan Hallock, Colorado Springs, Jack Salustri, White Plains, N.Y., and Jeff Campbell, Carmel, N.Y.
“The Wedding Song” and “Each for the other” were sung by Roy Hope of Minneapolis, Mn. Mrs. Wayne Larson of Farminton sang “The Lord’s Prayer.”
A reception was held at the Star Lodge in Loyal.
The bride graduated from Loyal High School and received missionary training from Campus Crusade for Christ in San Bernardino, Ca, where she has been serving for the last year and a-half. Her husband, a graduate of Valhalla High School in New York State attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and is presently enrolled at Nyack, N.Y., where he will begin studies this fall.
The couple will live in Nyack after a wedding trip to Canada and Niagara Falls.
