Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Hingiss, 64, of 600 W. spruce St., Abbotsford, who died Saturday, May 21, were held Tuesday afternoon.  The body lay in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home and was taken to the First Presbyterian church where the Rev. Charles E. Glidden conducted the services at 2 p.m.

The pallbearers for the interment made in the Colby memorial cemetery were Pete Barnes, Elroy Broeske, Ole Hanson, Lee Jensen, Ervin Martens and Ed Voge.

Mrs. Hingiss was born Iva Harvey, June 7, 1901, at Waupaca.  She received her education in the Waupaca schools and attended a business school in Stevens Point.

After her marriage to Henry Hingiss at Waupaca, Nov 8, 1928, they lived on a farm in the town of Mayville until 1950 when they moved to Abbotsford.

Mrs. Hingiss was hospitalized the past two weeks at St. Joseph’s hospital where her death occurred at 4:15 p.m. May 21.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian church and the United Presbyterian Women’s association of Abbotsford.  She was also a member of the ODO Homemakers club.

Surviving her are her husband, one son, Melvin of Milwaukee, one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Margarta) Hall of Janesville, and one grand son.  Two brothers, Steve Harvey of Amherst and Clarence Harvey of Weyauwega, also survive.
