Humbird (27 July 1972)

Mr. and Mrs. Harley Dunn of Cashton were overnight visitors of Mrs. Mary Jenswold and Walter recently. They were former parishioners of Walker.

Ralph Finnegan and son, Tom of Burlington came Friday to visit his mother, Mrs. Arnold Matti, and sister, Mrs. Claire Enerson of Alma Center.

Mrs. Neva Yorkston, Mrs. Erna Schneider, Mrs. Russell and Mrs. Tufts, all of Neillsville, called at the home of Mrs. Kate Dignin Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Thane Joos of Alma Center visited Sunday evening at the Newton home.

Mr and Mrs. Fred Theiler and children, who now live at Cataract, spent the weekend with home folks here.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Laffe were among those who attended the Fairchild Centennial celebration Sunday, and they also called on Mr. and Mrs. Harold Losey.

Mrs. Beulah Creviston of Downeyville, Ca, is here visiting her sisters, Mrs. Laura Dignin and Mrs. Beatrice Stuve and other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Austin of Beloit are camping here and visiting her mother, Mrs. Laura Dignin.

Harry Staves of Eau Claire was here Sunday and, with his sister, Mrs. Matie Smith, visited their brother, William Staves. Other visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Heineck of Black River Falls.

Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Taylor and Joe of Mosinee were weekend visitors at the Mel Markham home.

Mrs. Jean Bishop of Barrington, R. I., and sister, Evelyn of Chicago, and brother-in-law, B. H. Bohac of Merrillan called on Mrs. Freida Zerbel Sunday afternoon.

Visitors at the Perle Pickett home were Mr. and Mrs. Everett Tallman of Salem, Or, and Mr. and Mrs. George Braaton of Barron.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Nibbe of Hobart, In., are vacationing at the Hein cabin and visiting her mother, Mrs. Kate Dignin. Visitors at Mrs. Dignin’s home are Mr. and Mrs. Greg Ross and Kimberly of Hobart, In., Mrs. Joan Ramirez, Nina, Debbie, Angela, (partial name missing) Mondo and John of Gary, In.

John Rink of North Carolina visited Wednesday with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Polege.

Mr. and Mrs. Dick Albrecht of Neillsville visited Jean Collins last Sunday.

Mrs. Madge Clem of Elgin, Il., spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Lottie Flynn and sister, Jean Collins. The ladies attended the Centennial at Fairchild Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Andy Larson of Northfield spent Tuesday evening with her sister, Mrs. Olga Nelson, and sons.

Word has come of the death of Arthur Howard, husband of the former Muriel Harrell. Mrs. Howard isn’t very well and has just recently been a hospital patient.

Mrs. Emma Gerber is visiting her sister, Mrs. Wendell Riggs, in Zion, Illinois, and will also visit her sister-in-law, Mrs. Fred Gerber in Madison before returning home.

Mr and Mrs. John Perry of Elgin, Il., spent a day last week with his sister, Mrs. Kate Dignin.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Blank of Milwaukee spent the last two weeks with her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Aeschbacher.

Mr. and Mrs. Dick Sieg and children of Hortonville were weekend visitors at the Rudy Aeschbacher home and at the Rolla Sieg home in Fairchild.
