Announcement of the marriage of Miss Jean Leichtnam and Harvey Suckow Jr. is made by her mother, Mrs. Elmer Leichtnam, of Colby.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mrs. Leichtnam and the late Elmer Leichtnam and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Suckow of Unity.

The marriage ceremony took place Saturday, Dec. 29, at St. Mary’s Catholic church with the Rev. John B. Pinion officiating.

Attending the couple were Miss Mary Strzok of Gilman and Dean Loos of Colby.

For her wedding the bride chose a winter white dress with jacket, accented with brown accessories.  She carried a round bouquet of white carnations with red roses.

Her maid of honor wore an empire styled blue dress with white lace.  She carried a bouquet of white carnations with pink roses.

The bridal party and immediate families were served a supper at the Colby Hotel.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Suckow left on a honeymoon trip to northern Wisconsin.

Mr. Suckow is in the military service and will be sent to Japan.  His bride is employed at the Marshfield Clinic.

Mr. Suckow is a 1963 graduate of the Colby high school and his bride is a 1964 graduate of Marshfield senior high school.

Mr. and Mrs. Ken Bingham of West Allis came for her sister’s wedding.  Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Suckow of Unity were also among the wedding guests.
