Langiewicz, Joan (10 DEC 1966)

Red and white carnations were on the altar of St. Bernard's Church, Thorp for the marriage of Joan Langiewicz and Roger Frese on Saturday, Dec. 10, 1966. Rev. Brockman performed the ten a.m. double ring ceremony and the children's choir sang.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Alex Langiewicz and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Frese, all of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a ballerina bridal gown of white Chantilly lace over ice blue taffeta with long tapered sleeves and a sheer illusion was secured to a queen's crown of crystals and pearls and she carried a bouquet of red and white roses.

Mrs. Wm. Peterson was her sister's matron of honor, and bridesmaid was the bride's niece, Miss Stephanie Lato. They wore street length dresses of crepe ice blue, styled with A-line skirts and demi raised waistlines. A pompom of petals held their sheer veils and each carried a bouquet of red and white carnations.

Wm. Peterson, brother-in-law of the bride, was best man, and groomsman was Gerald Frese, brother of the groom. Ushers were Bill Langiewicz, brother of the bride, and Larry Frese, the groom's cousin.

A reception for 200 guests was held at the Thorp Legion Hall, where a dance was also held.

The bride and groom, both graduates of Thorp High School, are employed at the Stanley Corp. After a wedding trip to Sheboygan Falls they will make their home in Thorp.

Out of town guests attending the wedding were from Milwaukee, Stanley, Withee, Willmar, Minn., Minneapolis, Chicago, Gilman and Fredonia, Wis.
