------ Schnoor, Shirley Ann (?? JUL 1965)

Zion Lutheran church at Colby was the setting for the wedding of Miss Shirley Ann Schnoor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lorance Schnoor, Owen, and Dennis Lee Kademan, son of Ervin Kademan, Colby.

The church was decorated with white gladioli and pink carnations for the 2:30 p.m. ceremony performed by the Rev. Harold G. Woodworth.  Miss Jane Westendorf was the organist and Arlyn Mills was the soloist.  Selections were “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Because”.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a white floor-length gown of crepe boucille featuring an empire waist and sheath style skirt.  The lace bodice was accented by a detachable Watteau train.  Her elbow-length veil was held by a bow headpiece with lace and set-in pearls.  Three white orchids surrounded by pink carnations made up her bouquet.

The bride’s attendants were Miss Beth Westendorf of Milwaukee, as maid of honor, and Miss Shirley Bowen of Colby and Mrs. Betty Gottschalk of Milwaukee as bridesmaids.  They wore pink crepe boucille floor-length sheath gowns featuring empire waists and scoop necklines.  They wore matching headpieces and their flowers were white fugi mums with olive green ribbon.

Serving as best man was Dennis Schmidt of Wheatland and Tom Malmgren of Hartford and Levi Mews of Milwaukee were groomsmen.  The ushering duties were performed by Douglas Koffarnus and Michael Weise.

A reception and supper held in the church parlors and a wedding dance was held in the evening at the Colby park.

Mrs. Kademan, a 1962 graduate of Owen-Withee high school, is employed by Milwaukee Gas Light Co., Milwaukee, where she and her husband are residing.  Mr. Kademan works for Mews Redi Mix there and is a 1962 graduate of Colby high school.
