Mondloch, John D. (1950 - 09 Mar 1968)

John D. Mondloch, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Mondloch, route 1, Greenwood, died Saturday night after his car and a truck collided on Highway 98 about 2 miles west of Loyal. He was alone in his car.

Bernard H. Severson, 46, route 2, Spencer, was the driver of the truck. Severson is reported in critical condition in St. Joseph's Hospital, where he is being treated for head and facial injuries.

Mondloch was pronounced dead on arrival at the Neillsville hospital shortly after 8 p.m.

According to authorities the youth was headed west on Highway 98 and started to pass another vehicle when his car and the truck crashed head on.

Services for John Mondloch were held on Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenwood with the Rev. Donald Mulert officiating. The Myre Funeral Home of Loyal was in charge of arrangements.

John graduated from the Greenwood High School in 1967, and as employed at the Wuethrich Creamery, Greenwood.
