On Thursday, Nov. 22, 1945 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenwood, Miss Mary Dorothy Murphy of Branchdale, Pa. became the bride of James O. Neuenfeldt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. F. Neuenfeldt of this city (Greenwood, Clark Co., Wis.) at a 9:00 a.m. Nuptial Mass with Rev. J. Novak performing the double ring ceremony.

The bride was attired in a tan gabardine suit with which she wore brown accessories, feather hat and an orchid shoulder corsage.. She also wore a string of pearls, the gift of the groom, and carried a prayer book.

Miss Catherine M. Murphy, Branchdale, Pa., sister of the bride, as bridesmaid, wore a green suit with brown accessories and gardenia corsage.

An 11:00 breakfast was served at the Wehrman Café to 14 immediate relatives and friends. A three-tiered wedding cake, which centered the table, with vases of cut flowers at both ends, were the table decorations.

The bride is a graduate of Branchdale, Pa. High School and Pottsville Business College, and was employed by the Phillip and Jones Corp. at Pottsville before her marriage.

The groom is a graduate of the Greenwood High School with the class of 1936 and was attending State Teachers College at Stevens Point as a Junior at the time of entering the armed forces. He was affiliated with the Chi Delta Rho Fraternity at the college. He was Tech Sgt. In the Air Corp and was in England and France for the past 2 1/2 years and received his honorable discharge on Oct. 18, 1945 at Camp McCoy, after being in the service for 2 years and 8 months. He expects to return to college after the first of the year.

The young couple left Friday for a wedding trip through the east. A bridal shower was held at the W.P Neuenfeldt home on Thursday, Nov 15. The young couple received many lovely gifts.

Those from away who attended the wedding were Miss Rosetta Hillier and Harriet O'Connell of Fox Lake and Catherine Murphy, Branchdale, Pa.

The Gleaner join their many local friend in extending congratulations and best wishes for many years of happy wedded life.
