Rottjer, Barbara (25 November, 1967)

Wedding vows were exchanged by Miss Barbara Rottjer, Waverly, Powa and Mr. Robert Lee Rounds, Jewell, Iowa on Saturday, November 25 at 4 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. The Rev. A. M. Moldenhauer officiated.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Rounds. Storm Lake, Iowa and Mrs. Emma Rottjer, Loyal.

Mr. Vern Dahlby, the soloist sang “O Perfect Love,” and “Wedding Prayer.” He was accompanied by Miss Pat Schultz at the organ.

The bride given in marriage by her uncle was seen in a ivory peau de sole sheath with a white floral patterned lace cage complimented by a watteau train which fell from the shoulders and a chapel length veil. She carried a crescent shaped bouquet of stephanotis, roses and ivy.

Miss Bonnie Simpson, Waverly, iowa was the maid of honor and Miss Kitt Rounds, Sterling, Colorado and Miss Peggy Wlzien, Milwaukee, were the bridesmaids.

The aides were seen in gold crepe floor length sheaths and carried balls of bronze and gold mums.

Mr. Howard Korwes, Jewell, Iowa served as best man and Mr. Phil Stokes, Storm Lake, Iowa and Mr. John Rottjer, Loyal , were groomsmen. Mr. John Theisen and Mr. Al Rohde were ushers.

Wedding day events included a supper held at the church hall and a reception at the Amber Inn.

The new matron will graduate this December from Wartburg College. Her husband attended Buena Vista College and is a brick layer with Roth & Associates Co.

After a wedding trip to southern Wisconsin and Chicago, Illinois the couple will make their home at Jewell, Iowa.
