Darge, Pearl R. (16 JUL 1942 – 4 MAR 2014)
Pearl R. Darge, 71, Spencer, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Ministry
Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., on
Sunday, March 9, at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer. Rev. Rebekah Tarras
officiated. Burial followed in East Thorp Cemetery. Pallbearers were her
grandsons, Daniel Elpert, Travis Treankler, Jason Treankler, Eric Kerksieck,
Alec Krasselt, Jimmy Ress, Eric Strey and Erin Strey.
Pearl Ritter was born on July 16, 1942, in Withee, to Paul and Alice Ritter. She
attended school in the Owen-Withee School District. On May 23, 1963, she married
William Darge. Sadly, William passed away on Sept. 22, 1983. Along with raising
seven wonderful children, she worked in Spencer for many years at Little Club
tending bar, making many friendships along the way. She also worked for Petro
Pantry in Spencer and as a waitress at a local restaurant. She loved watching
NASCAR and was an avid Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan. Her hobbies included gardening,
playing cards and Yahtzee, trips to the casino, throwing darts, and cooking
wonderful meals for her family. Pearl also enjoyed watching TV shows like
"Dancing with the Stars" and "The Voice."
She is lovingly survived by her son, Jeff (Tammy) Darge, Hixton; five daughters,
Tammy (Gary) Cook, Owen, Vicky (Dwight) Treankler, Abbotsford, Billee (Rod)
Kerksieck, Greenwood, Connie (Jon) Strey, Loyal, and Paula (Todd) Krasselt,
Loyal; her grandchildren, Jamie, Larrisa, Daniel, Travis, Nicole, Jason,
Jennifer, Jimmy, Stephanie, Eric, Cassandra, Courtney, Alex, Amanda, Eric, Erin,
Tara and Tonia; 16 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Alfrieda (Troy) Austin,
Abbotsford, and Alice Bender, Withee.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; a daughter,
Mona; a grandson, Jeff Jr.; seven brothers, Gordon, Arlyn, Glenn, Merlin,
Victor, Paul and Allen; and three sisters, Viola and Pauline, and Doris, in
infancy.
