Washburn (1972)

Dale Reinhart has returned to Wisconsin State University-Stevens Point after spending the holiday and semester vacation of four weeks with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Reinart.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kapfer attended the funeral of Mrs. Ralph Scholtz of Sherwood in Granton last week Tuesday afternoon.

Bible study was postponed until this Saturday night due to the cold weather and illness of the Rev. Ralph Schram.

Mrs. Oliver Williams returned home Friday after spending since Sunday at the Nathan Vandeberg home in Wisconsin Rapids with her grandsons while Mr. and Mrs. Vandeberg drove his employer’s car to Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. Mr. and Mrs. Vandeberg were swimming and sun-bathing in 86 degree weather before they left Florida Thursday afternoon. When they arrived at the Wisconsin Rapids airport Thursday night it was 10 degrees below zero - quite a change.

Mrs. Wanda Pretsch and son, Earl, were supper guests Wednesday of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mortenson in honor of Mrs. Mortenson’s birthday.

Mrs. Elmer Kapfer attended the W.S.C.S. meeting at the United Methodist Church in Granton Wednesday.

Mrs. Claude Kyle visited at the Ralph Short home Tuesday afternoon.

Albert Lincoln and son, Jerry, called Sunday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Art Odell.

Donald Jelinek and son, Roger, visited Saturday at the Mrs. Wanda Pretsch home.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Reinart were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Wallace in honor of Mr. Wallace’s birthday which was Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace and Mrs. Mildred Drew accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Reinart on a trip to Black River Falls Sunday afternoon.
