Schreiber, Margean L. (Petznick) (14 JAN 1956 - 29 JAN 2014)

Margean L. Schreiber, age 58, of Wausau, formerly of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at her home.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until time of service at 3:00 PM with a luncheon to follow on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Father Daniel Hackel will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date in Lutheran Cemetery in Athens.

Margean was born on January 14, 1956, in Wausau, the daughter of Wilfred and Carol (Erdmann) Petznick. She graduated from Athens High School in 1974. Margean was employed at Badger Basket in Edgar, Fiskars in Spencer and most recently, Walmart in Wausau for the past 15 years.

She enjoyed country music and cheering for the Packers and Brewers. Most importantly, Margean loved her family and was especially proud to be a grandmother and cherished her granddaughter, Madelyn Margean is survived by her son, Gabriel (Maureen) Schreiber of St. Joseph, MN; her granddaughter, Madelyn; her mother, Carol Petznick of Abbotsford; eight siblings: Dorean (Danny) Freimund of Milan, Donna (James) Schmidt of Colby, Debra (Michael) Schaefer of Gilman, Denise (Scott) Kulawinski of Birnamwood, Daryl (Tina) Petznick of Stetsonville, Darvin Petznick of Colby, Marlin Petznick of Stetsonville and Sandra (Michael) Seliger of Athens. She is further survived by her godchildren: Sandra Seliger, Crystal Schaefer and Brandon Lake; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wilfred.

She was very thankful for the love and support she received from family and friends.
