Jacobitz, Wayne (1 SEP 1944 - 29 JAN 2014)

Funeral services for Wayne Jacobitz, age 69, of Mt. Vernon, will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home with burial following at Macon Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service.

Mr. Jacobitz died on January 29, 2014, at his residence. He was born on September 1, 1944, in Marathon County to Norman Jacobitz and Melba (Hager) Jacobitz.

Mr. Jacobitz retired from the Army. His hobbies and interests included the Black Horse regiment, visiting family in Wisconsin, Idaho, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Illinois. He loved camp fires, fixing old trucks, working on lawn mowers, and making a perfect home.

Mr. Jacobitz is survived by his son, Mark Allen Carter, of Frankfurt, Ky.; a brother, Darell Jacobitz and wife, Beverly, of Boise, Idaho; two sisters, Lois Palmer of Antigo, and Mary Decker and husband, Dan, of Dorchester; a brother-in-law, George Robinson; nieces and nephews, Brent Decker, Lisa and Fred Stary, Sarah and Jason Paul, Shanna Robinson, Kena Robinson; grand nieces and nephews, Dailyn Jameson and Adeline Paul, Sophia Kinlen, Felix Stary, Alexis and Ella Decker, and Javon Robinson; and friends, Zack and Connie Fuquay, Tommy and Rhonda White, and Sue Boyd.

His is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Karen Robinson, who died in August 2013; and his wife, Martha Jacobitz.
